Abstract

Radioisotopes production is important in medical science as they are used for different purposes. The studies of the nuclear reactions cross-section for the production of 64Cu were performed for the nuclear reactions of 64Ni(p, n)64Cu, 65Cu(p, x)64Cu, 67Zn(p, a)64Cu, 65Cu(n, 2n)64Cu, 64Zn(n, p)64Cu, 64Ni(d, 2n)64Cu, natNi(d,x)64Cu and 66Zn (d, a)64Cu. The calculations were performed using TALYS1.6 nuclear code. The results of excitation functions were compared with experimental data from letratures. It was seen that the results are important to produce copper-64 using different reaction mechanism and thus experimental results and calculations are in good agreement for interesed reactions types.
