LATÎFÎ’NİN MAZHARU’L-ACÂYİB’İNİN TÜRKÇE TÛTÎNÂME TERCÜMELERİ ARASINDAKİ YERİ

Abstract

Hint edebiyatında Sanskritçe yazılan ve “Śukasaptati” (Papağanın Yetmiş Hikâyesi) olarak bilinen hikâyeler, ilk önce Farsçaya Tûtînâme adıyla, ardından da Farsçadan başta Türkçe olmak üzere çeşitli dillere tercüme edilmiştir. Binbir Gece hikâyelerine benzeyen Tûtînâmelerde ticaret amacıyla sefere çıkan bir adamın karısına göz kulak olması için görevlendirdiği akıllı papağanın adamın karısı ile aşığının buluşmasını engellemek için anlattığı hikâyelerden oluşmaktadır. Elimizdeki bilgilere göre Türkçeye üç kez tercüme edilmiştir. Bu tercümelerin ikisi Osmanlı Türkçesiyle XVI. ve XVII. yüzyıllarda kim oldukları hakkında farklı görüşler bulunan iki mütercim tarafından Türkçeye tercüme edilmiştir. Üçüncü tercüme ise Latîfî mahlaslı birisi tarafından da Nahşebî’nin Farsça Tutinâme tercümesinden Mazharu’l-Acâyib ismiyle Çağataycaya tercüme edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada üzerinde çalıştığımız Mazharu’l-Acâyib’in Türkçe Tûtînâme tercümeleri arasındaki yerine işaret edilecektir. Çalışmamızda, Mazharu’l-Acâyib ve diğer iki Türkçe tercüme hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra tercümeler kaynak metinleri, giriş ve sonuç bölümleri, muhtevaları, hikâyelerin başlıklandırılması ve başlama tarzları ile dil ve üslup özellikleri bakımından karşılaştırılacaktır. Bu karşılaştırma sonucunda, Mazharu’l-Acâyib’in diğer Tutinâme tercümelerine göre hem kaynak metin ve mütercim hakkında bilgiler sunduğu hem de daha fazla hikâye içerdiği görülmüştür.

The stories written in Sanskrit in Indian literature and known as “Śukasaptati” (Seventy Stories of the Parrot) were first translated into Persian as Tutinama, then from Persian to various languages, mainly into Turkish. Similar to the Thousand and One Nights stories, Tutinamas are composed of the stories told by a smart parrot assigned to watch over his wife by a man when he was on a trade expedition in order to prevent the man’s wife and her lover from meeting. According to the information we have, it has been translated into Turkish three times. Two of these translations are in Ottoman Turkish in the 16th and 17th centuries. It is known that it was translated into Turkish by two different translators but there are different opinions about who they were. The third translation was translated into Chagatay language with the name Mazharu’l-Acâyib from the Persian translation of Nahşebi by someone under the pseudonym Latîfî. The place of Mazharu’l-Acâyib that we are working on will be pointed out among the other Turkish Tutinama translations. In our work, after giving information about Mazharu’l-Acâyib and the other two Turkish translations, the translations will be compared in terms of the source texts, introduction and conclusion parts, contents, titling and styles of beginning of the stories, language and stylistic features. As a result of this comparison, it was seen that Mazharu’l-Acâyib both provided more information about the source text and the translator and contained more stories compared to other Tutinama translations.
