CUMHURİYET DÖNEMİNDE SAĞLIK HİZMETLERİ 1923-1950

Abstract

Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ilân edildiği zaman, toplum hayatının diğer alanlarında olduğu gibi sağlık hizmetlerinde de çok büyük sıkıntılar vardı. Yeni devlet kurulduğu zaman sağlık alanında yeni hamleler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Daha millî mücadele döneminde Sağlık Bakanlığı kurulmuş; Cumhuriyet’in ilânından itibaren hastaneler inşa edilmiş, hasta yatak sayıları artırılmış, doktor, hemşire, ebe, eczacı gibi sağlık personeli yetiştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sıtma, verem, frengi, trahom ve diğer hastalıklarla mücadele edilerek halkın sağlığı korunmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu konularda genel olarak sağlık bilimleri uzmanları tarafından akademik çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Konuya bir de tarihçi gözü ile bakarak, bu çalışmamızda, Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi Bütçe görüşmelerinden elde ettiğimiz bilgileri işleyerek literatüre katkı yapılmıştır. Böylece konunun eksik kalmış kısımlarının tamamlanması sağlanmıştır.

When the Turkish Republic decleared, there were many problems in the field of health care besides the other services within the country. With the establishment of the new Goverment was established, some reforms were realized in the health care services. Ministry of Health was established during the Independence War period and new hospitals were built , the number of beds increased in the hospitals, doctors, nurses and other health staff was trained. Struggle against Malaria, tuberculosis, syphilis, trachoma and other diseases started and the health of the society was preserved. Academic studies were carried out by the experts of health. With the point of view as a historian, in this study, it is contributed to the literature through examining the Budget sessions of the Turkish Grand Assembly. Therefore, the uncompleated parts of the subject was provided.
