General Structure And Content Features Of The Geography Course Teachıng Program Taught At Secondary School Level In Hungary

Abstract

The aim of the study is to examine the general purpose and philosophy, principles and principles, competencies and content structure of the geography course taught within the scope of social studies course at secondary school level in Hungary. The importance of the study is that it examines the perspective of a Turkish origin state with different beliefs in a different geography on social sciences. The research is a qualitative study and document analysis method was used. In this context, documents obtained from the websites of Hungarian official institutions were used as data collection tools and the obtained data were analyzed with the descriptive analysis method. In the research, 102 hours of content of the Hungarian Geography curriculum applied to 7th and 8th grades at secondary school level; Learning outcomes were examined under the headings of method, technique and material use, activity and activity examples development and enrichment. As a result of the research, the characteristics of 8 learning areas of the geography course taught at secondary school level were evaluated. In the light of the findings, suggestions are made to examine the geography curricula of similar countries and make comparative analyses.

Çalışmanın amacı Macaristan’da ortaokul seviyesinde sosyal bilgiler dersi kapsamında okutulan coğrafya dersi öğretim programının genel amaç ve felsefesini, ilke ve prensiplerini, yetkinlikler ve içerik yapısını incelemektir. Farklı bir coğrafyada farklı inanca sahip Türk kökenli bir devletin sosyal bilimlere bakış açısını ele almak çalışmanın önemini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma nitel bir çalışma olup doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda Macaristan resmi kurumlarına ait internet sitelerinden elde edilen dokümanlar veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmış ve elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Çalışmada Macaristan Coğrafya öğretim programının ortaokul seviyesinde 7.ve 8.sınıflara uygulanan 102 saatlik içeriği; öğrenme çıktıları, yöntem, teknik ve materyal kullanımı, etkinlik ve aktivite örnekleri, geliştirme ve zenginleştirme başlıkları altında incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda ortaokul seviyesinde ayrı ders olarak okutulan coğrafya dersinin 8 ayrı öğrenme alanı özellikleri ayrıntılı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular ışığında; benzer ülkelere ait coğrafya öğretim programlarının incelenmesi, karşılaştırmalı analizlerin yapılması, ortaokul düzeyinde coğrafya dersinin ayrı bir ders olarak okutulmasının farklı ülkelerdeki örneklerinin incelenip değerlendirilmesi önerileri sunulmuştur.
