Afet Bilinci Dersi Özgün Ve Resmi Program Uygulamasına Yönelik Bir Durum Çalışması

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı, 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılının başlangıcında yayınlanmış öğretim programı bulunmayan ancak muhatapları bulunan Afet Bilinci seçmeli dersine ait özgün ve geçici olarak hazırlanan öğretim programlarının çerçevesini ortaya çıkarmak, resmi program ile karşılaştırmasını yapmak ve programla ilgili öğretmen görüşlerini alabilmektir. Nitel araştırma deseniyle yürütülen çalışmanın örneklem grubunu 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılında Çorum ilinde seçmeli Afet Bilinci dersini okutan 7 katılımcı oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ve doküman incelemesi tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında Afet Bilinci dersini okutan öğretmenlerin kendi hazırladıkları özgün ve geçici programlara ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin kendi hazırladıkları özgün program ile bakanlıkça ilan edilen resmi program içerik ve öğrenme – öğretmen süreçleri yönünden karşılaştırılmıştır. Katılımcı öğretmenlerin program hazırlama süreçleri ve uygulama esnasında karşılaşılan durumlarla ilgili görüşleri alınmıştır. Hazırlanan görüşme formu iki ayrı uzman tarafından değerlendirmeye alınmış, gerekli düzeltmeler yapılarak görüşme formuna son hali verilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda öğretmenlerin kendilerini program yazma ve uygulama konusunda yeterli gördükleri tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte öğretmenlerin konu içeriği belirlemede güçlük yaşadıkları ve programsız seçmeli ders seçiminden kaçındıkları saptanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin kendi hazırladıkları özgün programların içeriğinin resmi programa göre daha yoğun ve güncel olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Çalışmanın bulguları doğrultusunda öğretmen yeterlilik ve özerkliklerinin geliştirilmesi için gerekli çalışmaların yapılması, Afet Bilinci dersinin okullarda yaygınlaştırılması ve düzeye uygun afet eğitimlerinin verilmesi önerilmiştir.

The aim of the study is to outline the framework of original and temporary curriculum prepared for the elective Disaster Awareness course, which was not included in the curriculum published at the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year but has stakeholders, to make a comparison with the official curriculum, and to obtain the opinions of teachers regarding the program. The sample group of the study, conducted with a qualitative research design, consisted of 7 participants who taught the elective Disaster Awareness course in the Çorum province during the 2023-2024 academic year. Semi-structured interview forms and document analysis were preferred for data collection. Within the scope of the research, the original and temporary programs prepared by the teachers who taught the Disaster Awareness course were accessed. Teachers' own original programs were compared with the official program announced by the ministry in terms of content and teaching-learning processes. The opinions of participant teachers regarding the program preparation process and situations encountered during implementation were obtained. The prepared interview form was evaluated by two separate experts, necessary corrections were made, and the final version of the interview form was obtained. As a result of the study, it was found that teachers considered themselves sufficient in terms of program writing and implementation. However, it was determined that teachers experienced difficulty in determining the content of the subject and avoided choosing elective courses without a program. It was concluded that the content of the original programs prepared by teachers was more intense and up-to-date compared to the official program. In line with the findings of the study, it is recommended to carry out necessary studies to improve teacher competence and autonomy, to popularize the Disaster Awareness course in schools, and to provide disaster education appropriate to the level.
