KİTLESEL OLAYLARDA START BİLGİ DÜZEYİ; İZMİR İLİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada İzmir 112 Acil Sağlık Hizmetleri (ASH) çalışanlarının, Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment (Basit Triyaj ve Hızlı Tedavi - START) Protokolü konusunda bilgi düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmada örneklem olarak İzmir İl Ambulans Servisi Başhekimliği, İzmir 112 Komuta Kontrol Merkezi ve vaka sayısının yüksek olması nedeniyle 112 ASH merkez istasyonları örneklem olarak seçilmiştir. Araştırmada tarama modeli türlerinden biri olan genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanması amacıyla literatür taramasının ardından araştırmacı tarafından anket formu geliştirilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya göre İzmir 112 ASH çalışanlarının %94,8’inin START protokolü ile ilgili eğitim aldığı saptanmıştır. START protokolü hakkındaki bilgi düzeylerinde, doktorların bilgi düzeyleri diğer meslek gruplarına göre, yüksek lisans mezunlarının bilgi düzeyleri lise mezunlarına göre, 112 idari birim çalışanlarının bilgi düzeyleri 112 ASH İstasyonu çalışanlarına göre anlamlı şekilde yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Araştırmanın sonucuna göre İzmir 112 ASH personellerinin START protokolü hakkındaki bilgi düzeylerinde, öğrenim durumu, meslek, çalıştığı birim ve triyaj konusunda aldıkları eğitime bağlı anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir.

Objective: In this study, it was aimed to determine the level of knowledge about the START (Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment) protocol of the Izmir 112 Emergency Health Services (EHS) providers who will perform the field triage in mass events. Material and Methods: The sample of the study is the 112 Administrative Unit, İzmir 112 Command and Control Center and 112 EHS Central Station because of the high number of cases. The general survey model, which is one of the survey model types, was used in the research. After the literature review, a questionnaire was developed by the researcher to collect the data. Results: According to our research; It was found that 94.8% of İzmir 112 EHS services employees received training on START protocol. In the level of knowledge about the START protocol, the knowledge level of physicians higher than from other occupational groups, the level of knowledge of master's graduates was higher than that of high school graduates, and the level of knowledge of 112 administrative unit employees was significantly higher than that of 112 EHS station employees. Conclusion: According to the results of the research, in the level of knowledge of the 112 EHS providers in Izmir about the START protocol; significant differences have been identified depending on the education they received, their profession, the unit they work for and the training they received.
