Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Fen Bilimleri Kılavuz Kitap Seçim Kriterlerinin Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, sınıf öğretmenlerinin fen bilimleri dersinde kullandığı yardımcı kaynakların seçiminde dikkate aldıkları kriterleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini Amasya il merkezinde görev yapmakta olan ve 3. ve 4. sınıfları okutan sınıf öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 102 sınıf öğretmenini kapsamıştır. Veri toplama tekniği ankettir. Öğretmenlerin kılavuz kitap seçim kriterlerini belirlemek için literatürden faydalanılarak kitap seçim kriterleri ölçeği hazırlanmıştır. Ölçek 70 maddeden ve dış yapı, iç yapı ve eğitsel özellikler alt boyutlarından oluşmaktadır. SPSS 15.0 programı kullanılarak verilerin betimsel ve yordamsal analizleri yapılmıştır. Öğretmenler ders kitabı dışında en çok internet ve yaprak testlerden yararlandıkları, kılavuz kitapları konu açıklamada kullandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Ölçekte en yüksek ortalama puan eğitsel özellikler boyutunda bulunmuştur. Öğretmenlerin genel olarak“katılıyorum” düzeyinde olumlu görüş bildirdikleri bulunmuştur. En yüksek ortalamalar kitabın konuyu açıklaması, öğrenciye uygunluğu ve bilgilerin konu alanına uygunluğu maddelerinde bulunmuştur. Kitap seçim kriterleri ölçeği toplam puanları öğretmenlerin cinsiyet ve mesleki kıdemine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermemektedir.

This study was carried out with the purpose of determining the criteria that classroom teachers take into consideration for the selection of study aids in science class. In the study, survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The research population consists of classroom teachers who are serving in Amasya city center and teaching 3rd and 4th grade students. Sample of the study included 102 classroom teachers. Survey technique was used for collecting data in this study. In order to determine classroom teachers’ guidebook selection criteria, “book selection criteria scale” was prepared with the help of literature. The scale included 70 item, consists of subscales such as internal structure, external structure and educational characteristics. The data was analyzed as descriptive and interpretive by SPSS 15.0 statistical program. The teachers stated that they mostly used internet and test-sheets apart from course book, and guidebooks were used to explain the subject.The highest average point was found in educational characteristics aspect. It was found out that teachers expressed generally their positive opinions at “I agree” level. The highest averages were found in terms of subject explanation of the book, suitability of the book for students and suitability of the information for the subject fields. Teachers’ book selection criteria scale points in terms of gender and professional seniority show significant difference.
