Abstract

When it comes to thinking about the nature of the relation between the Finite and the Infinite or between the Absolute and Being, entering into a critical dialog with Hegel's and Levinas's thought becomes an important starting point for M.I. Bakır. In his book, Bakır positions these thinkers as two different extremes. He presents Hegel as a philosopher of immanence and Levinas as a philosopher of transcendence. He develops a critical attitude towards these two philosophers through the dualism of Absolute and Being, which he thinks is effective in forming every particular, and points to the door to a third path.

Söz konusu Sonlu ve Sonsuz ya da Mutlak ve Varlık arasındaki ilişkinin mahiyetini düşünmek olunca Hegel'in ve Levinas'ın düşünceleriyle eleştirel bir diyaloğa girmek M.i. Bakır için önemli bir çıkış noktası oluyor. Bakır kitabında bu düşünürleri iki ayrı uç olarak konumlandırmakta. Hegel'i bir içkinlik filozofu Levinas'ı da bir aşkınlık filozofu olarak sunmakta. Her tikelin oluşumunda etkili olduğunu düşündüğü Mutlak ve Varlık ikiliği üzerinden hem bu iki filozofa karşı eleştirel bir tutum geliştirmekte hem de üçüncü bir yola açılan kapıyı işaret etmekte.
