This study was conducted to monitor the participation process of institutions in the Consultant Academician Practice carried out in institutions affiliated to Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education, to determine the problems experienced in the practice and the contributions of the practice to the institution, staff, students and parents, and to determine the suggestions for improvement for the practice. A cross-sectional survey design, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in the study. The findings obtained within the scope of the study show that the participation of institutions in the implementation tends to increase except for the pandemic period, the most contribution of the implementation is seen in teachers and the most effective activities are seminars and courses, and the most common problem faced by institutions in the process is finding academics. In addition, it was determined that the suggestions of the participants regarding the implementation were mostly about the academics being able to spare time for the implementation. Within the framework of these findings, suggestions for the development of the Consultant Academic Practice and for researchers are presented. © (2024), (T.C. Milli Egitim Bakanligi).
