Eğitimcilere göre okullarda gerçekleştirilen sosyal etkinliklerin okul iklimine etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı; eğitimci görüşlerine göre okullarda gerçekleştirilen sosyal etkinliklerin okul iklimine olan etkisine dikkat çekmek ve okul iklimindeki mevcut sorunlara olası çözüm önerileri geliştirmektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemi desenlerinden fenomenoloji deseni (olgubilim) kapsamında yapılmıştır. Bu araştırma, amaçlı örneklem yöntemi kapsamında çalışma grubu maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme tekniği ile oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada, farklı okullardan 3'ü anaokulunda, 3'ü ilkokulda, 3'ü ortaokulda ve 3'ü lisede görevli olmak üzere toplam 12 eğitimci ile çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilere yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma sürecinde toplanan veriler, betimsel analiz yöntemine göre ayrıntılandırılmıştır. Araştırmaya ait veriler analiz edildiğinde katılımcılar öncelikle sosyal etkinlik kavramına ilişkin algılarını; faaliyet, çalışma, aktivite, katılım, eylem, iletişim biçimi ve çalışma şeklinde tanımlamışlardır. Katılımcılar okullarda gerçekleştirilen sosyal etkinlikleri; gezi, oyun- aktivite, piknik, müze ziyareti, tiyatro, müzik, şiir dinletisi ve kitap okuma şeklinde ifade etmişlerdir. Katılımcılar okullarda gerçekleştirilen sosyal etkinliklerin okul iklimine etkilerine yönelik algılarını; kaynaşma, özgüven, öğrenmeyi kolaylaştırma, öğrenme zamanının uzaması, dersten kaçma, disiplinsizlik ve aidiyet olarak sıralamışlardır. Katılımcılar okullarda gerçekleştirilen sosyal etkinliklerin okul iklimine etkisini artırmak için; planlama, ihtiyaçların belirlenmesi, seminerlerle bilinçlendirme, aktif rol-etkin katılım, vakit ayırmak ve ders dışı şeklinde birtakım önerilerde bulunmuşlardır. Bu bağlamda okullarda gerçekleştirilen sosyal etkinliklerin okul iklimine etkisinin araştırılması ve okul iklimindeki mevcut sorunlara olası çözüm önerileri getirilmesi bakımından bu araştırma önemli bir araştırma özelliği taşımaktadır. Literatüre katkı sunması öngörülen mevcut araştırmada ilgili alanlarda daha kaliteli araştırmalar yapılması adına bazı öneriler sunulmuştur.

The purpose of this study; According to the opinions of educators, the aim is to draw attention to the impact of social activities held in schools on the school climate and to develop possible solutions to the current problems in the school climate. The research was conducted within the scope of the phenomenology pattern, one of the qualitative research method patterns. In this research, the study group was formed with the maximum diversity sampling technique within the scope of the purposeful sampling method. In the study, a total of 12 educators from different schools were studied: 3 in kindergarten, 3 in primary school, 3 in secondary school and 3 in high school. The data obtained in the research was obtained using a semi-structured interview form. The data collected during the research process was detailed according to the descriptive analysis method. When the data of the research are analyzed, the participants firstly express their perceptions about the concept of social activity; they defined them as activity, study, activity, participation, action, communication style and study. Participants; social events held in schools; they expressed their activities as trips, games-activities, picnics, museum visits, theatre, music, poetry recitals and book reading. Participants' perceptions of the effects of social activities held in schools on the school climate; they listed these as integration, self-confidence, facilitating learning, prolonging the learning time, escaping from class, indiscipline and belonging. In order to increase the impact of social activities held in schools on the school climate, participants; they made some suggestions such as planning, determining needs, raising awareness through seminars, active role-effective participation, allocating time and extracurriculars. In this context, this research is an important research feature in terms of investigating the effects of social activities held in schools on the school climate and suggesting possible solutions to the current problems in the school climate. In the current research, which is expected to contribute to the literature, some suggestions are presented in order to conduct better quality research in related fields.
