The Study of Scale Developing Related To The Environmental Literacy Component on the Secondary School Level

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, çevre okuryazarlığının bileşenleri ile ilgili ortaokul öğrencilerine yönelik "Çevre Okuryazarlığı Ölçeği" geliştirmektir. Bu araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Test ve ölçeklerin geçerlilik ve güvenirliğini belirlemek amacıyla 258 ortaokul öğrencisi ile pilot uygulama yapılmıştır. Pilot uygulama neticesinde; 19 sorudan oluşan çoktan seçmeli "Çevre Bilgisi Testi (ÇBT)", 15 soruluk 5'li likert tipinde "Çevresel Duyuş Ölçeği (ÇDYÖ)", 12 soruluk 7'li likert tipinde "Çevresel Davranış Ölçeği (ÇDVÖ)" ve 1 tanesi kapalı uçlu ve 2 tanesi açık uçlu sorudan oluşan "Bilişsel Beceri Görüşme Formu (BBGF)" hazırlanmıştır. Güvenirlik analizi, bilgi testi için Kuder Richardson 20 (KR-20) iç tutarlık katsayısı, madde ayrıt edicilik ve madde güçlük indeksi ile yapılmıştır. Duyuş ve davranış ölçekleri için Cronbach Alpha (?) iç tutarlılık katsayısı, görüşme formu için ise kodlayıcı güvenirliği kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Test ve ölçeklerin geçerliliği için kapsam geçerliliği, görünüş geçerliliği ve yapı geçerliliğine bakılmıştır. Yapılan geçerlilik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları neticesinde, "Çevre Okuryazarlığı Ölçeği"nin geçerli ve güvenilir nitelikte olduğu belirlenmiştir

- The purpose of this research is to improve 'Environmental Literacy Scale' related to the components of environmental literacy for secondary school students. In this research, survey model is used. In order to specify the validity and reliability of the tests and scales, pilot scheme are done with 258 secondary school students. As a result of the pilot scheme, "Enviromental Knowledge Test" (EKT) consists of 19 multiple choice questions, "Enviromental Affect Scale" (EAS) consists of 15 questions in type of five point likert scale, "Enviromental Behavior Scale" (EBS) consists of 12 questions in type of seven point likert scale, and "Cognitive Skill Interview Form" (CSIF) consists of 1 closed ended and 2 open ended questions are prepared. The reliability analysis are made by using Kuder Richardson 20 (KR-20) internal consistency for knowledge test, Cronbach Alpha (?) for item discrimination, item difficulty index and affect and behaviour scales, coder reliability for internal coefficient of consistence and interview form. As a result of the validity and reliability studies, it is seen that "Environmental Literacy Scale" is valid and reliable
