dc.description.abstract | Turkey needs a large of amount of energy to develop its economy and to improve the lives of its own people. Nowadays, Turkey uses various types of energy sources such as coal, hydro, natural gas, and others. Turkey needs nuclear power plants to meet the increasing energy demand. There has been a significant increase in the use of nuclear knowledge in recent years in Turkey. Both theoretical and experimental studies have been carried out in universities and research centers about nuclear fields. In this study, the need for the energy, the development of nuclear technology, and current status and the plans for its future use in Turkey are discussed. | en_US |
