Burun aksı ile kulak morfolojisi arasındaki ilişkinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Güzellik algısı kişiden kişiye ve geçmişten günümüze göre değişmekle beraber evrensel olarak kabul edilmiş bazı güzellik standartları mevcuttur. Yüz simetrisinin geleneksel olarak güzellik ile ilişkili olduğu düşünülmüştür ve bu düşünce, değişen güzellik standartlarına rağmen günümüzde de devam etmektedir. Yüzün simetrisini belirgin şekilde bozabilen eğri burun, hastaların estetik düzeltme arayışına girmesi için yaygın bir nedendir ve bu da burnun yüz estetiğindeki önemini gösterir. Eğri burun ve yüz asimetrisi arasındaki ilişkiyi tanımak ve tartışmak cerrahi planlamada önemli bir husustur. Diğer yüz bileşenleri gibi kulak da yüz estetiğine önemli katkısı olan bir organdır. Literatüre baktığımızda nazal aks deviasyonu ile diğer yüz bileşenlerinin aralarındaki ilişkinin incelendiği birçok çalışma mevcuttur. Fakat kulak morfolojisi ile ilişkisinin incelendiği bir çalışmaya rastlayamadık. Bu sebeple burun aksındaki değişimlerin kulak konum ve boyutlarına olası etkilerinin incelendiği bir çalışma planladık. Çalışmamızı hasta fotoğrafları üzerinde fotogrametrik ölçümler yaparak oluşturduk. Ölçümlerin istatistiksel analizi sonuçlarına göre özellikle I şekilli nazal aks deviasyonu olan hastalarda kulak konum, boyut ve aks açısında anlamlı farklılıklar olduğunu tespit ettik. Bu çalışmadan elde edilen verilerin antropometri alanında literatüre katkı sağlayacağını ve bu konuda ileride yapılacak olan çalışmalara yol gösterebileceğini düşünüyoruz.

Although the perception of beauty varies from person to person and from past to present, there are some universally accepted beauty standards. Facial symmetry has traditionally been thought to be associated with beauty, and this notion continues today, despite changing beauty standards. A crooked nose, which can significantly disrupt the symmetry of the face, is a common reason for patients to seek aesthetic correction, which indicates the importance of the nose in facial aesthetics. Recognizing and discussing the relationship between crooked nose and facial asymmetry is an important consideration in surgical planning. Like other facial components, the ear is an organ that contributes significantly to facial aesthetics. When we look at the literature, we saw that there are many studies examining the relationship between nasal axis deviation and other facial components, but we could not find a study examining the relationship between ear morphology. For this reason, we planned a study to examine the possible effects of changes in the nasal axis on ear position and size. We created our study by making photogrammetric measurements on patient photographs. According to the results of the statistical analysis of the measurements, we found that there were significant differences in ear position, size and axis angle, especially in patients with I - shaped nasal axis deviation. We think that the data obtained from this study will be contribute to the literature in the field of anthropometry and may guide future studies on this subject.
