According to the general census conducted in 1990, Corum with a total population of 609.863 is one of the middle-sized provinces of Turkey. In the year 2000 with Corum's population falling back to 597.065, till nowadays has constantly lost population, according to the ADNKS data in the year 2014, the total of population has fallen behind to 527.230. As the population in the central province rises, in the population of the rural areas draws attention with an apparent decrease. In the province population, the amount of gender rises in the favour of women, as for the rural area excessiveness amount rises even more. The province population's age structure shows similarity comparing to the age structure of the developing countries, the average lifespan extends gradually. In Corum, the value of population density for every km(2) being nearly 41 persons, it exists amongst the low intensity provinces of Turkey.
